Our Story

Tenzing is an independent private equity investor that targets buyout investments in high organic growth UK SMEs valued up to £50m. The firm believes in supporting, inspiring and investing alongside high energy, high performance management teams with which it has a shared vision.

“A genuine blend of people who know what it’s like to run a business”

We founded Tenzing to build the investment team that we would want investing alongside us. Our vision was to build a team of high-energy, driven and fair people with empathy and integrity. A genuine blend of people who know what it’s like to run a business and who have a balanced approach between being good investors, strong managers and practical operators. We hope you find in us a team you want to partner with and a team in whom you can place your trust.

We believe in supporting, inspiring and investing alongside high energy, high performance management teams. Our ambition is to help them achieve their individual potential as well as that of their businesses.

We are passionate about investing in niche market leaders and challenger businesses; businesses that can transform themselves and disrupt the market in which they operate.

The founders and the core team at Tenzing have walked in your shoes. We have run businesses on credit cards, we have lain awake on a Sunday night analysing the impact of the previous week’s trading information, we have made mistakes, had our frustrations and our successes. We believe that gives us the empathy to be better business partners and investors for you.

We focus on providing our portfolio management teams with a full suite of tools and resources to help and support them in achieving their goals. We believe mutual respect and common objectives will drive shared success.

We invest over £5m, in flexible structures, to back management teams with whom we share a vision. We love what we do.
