The Hiut Denim Company

Hiut Denim is a company with real purpose. They are based in Cardigan, a small Welsh town of 4,000 good people. 400 of them used to make jeans. They made 35,000 pairs a week. For three decades. Then one day the factory closed. It left town. But all that skill and knowhow remained. Without any way of showing the world what they could do. That’s why David and Claire Hieatt started The Hiut Denim Company to bring manufacturing back home, to use all that skill on their doorstep and to breathe new life into their town.

David and Claire Hieatt have been the inspiration of thinking about Tenzing as a ‘brand’ and not a financial services firm. They focus on doing one thing well, and that is making jeans. However, with that focus, they do a number of other things insanely well such as delivering a million dollar marketing budget on a shoestring. They love what they do and we love that too.
