Bertrand leads all investments in French-speaking regions in Europe, notably France, bringing over a decade of experience in investing across Europe and the US. Prior to joining Tenzing, he held senior roles at Hg, One Peak Partners, and Warburg Pincus, where he focused on technology and tech-enabled companies. Bertrand partners closely with ambitious founders and management teams to unlock transformational growth, having already supported 13 tech companies in the past decade. At Tenzing, he is passionate about backing exceptional entrepreneurs and leadership teams to help them scale into global/pan-European category leaders. Bertrand started his career at the French Ministry of Economy, followed by 4 years in the Technology M&A team at J.P Morgan where he advised technology companies across M&A (4 closed) and Financing (notably 7 IPOs successfully executed).
Originally from Paris, Bertrand studied Engineering in France (Ecole des Mines) and Business Management in the US (Duke University – The Fuqua School of Business), which gave him a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and supporting companies. He loves traveling (with his wife!), hiking, reading about technology, and doing sports (especially football, which he was a semi-professional player in his earlier years).
