Duncan is a Sherpa at CitNOW Group and works closely with the leadership team to support them with scaling their commercial function and operating model.
Duncan started his career as a Management Consultant at Deloitte as he wanted to learn about the inner workings of businesses and how to drive growth. He then moved into the start-up world at Tandem Bank, a new challenger bank in the UK. He joined Tandem pre-revenue and was involved in various projects, from designing Tandem’s MVP, programme managing the delivery of the app and website, managing the Business Analyst and testing teams, and eventually running the launch programme for the bank.
After Tandem, Duncan joined Paysafe, a FTSE 250 payments company that was bought by CVC and Blackstone. During his tenure here, Duncan went through the entire private equity lifecycle to Paysafe’s IPO on the NYSE. Duncan held various roles at Paysafe across marketing, strategy, product and commercial functions, including running teams across corporate strategy, marketing strategy, marketing operations, customer analytics and research, procurement, managing the marketing budget, culminating in him running the product teams and P&L for the consumer wallet businesses.
Alongside this, Duncan volunteered as a Governor of a local state primary school, where he was Chair of the Finances and Resources Committee.
More recently, he was Managing Director of an online luxury watch auction site, managing the P&L, driving revenue growth, scaling sales and operations and expanding into new markets.
Duncan is excited about joining the Sherpa Programme to accelerate his career in private equity, support CEOs in scaling businesses, take advantage of the learning, development and mentoring opportunities the programme offers, and work with people with similar values and the desire to learn, grow and improve.
