After graduating as a Biomedical Scientist, Israel spent over four years at Goldman Sachs in an Operations role his parents still don’t quite understand.
In an effort to find more varied challenges, he experienced the differing environments of French and Swiss Investment Banks, including a stint in Wealth Management. During this period, Israel explored his natural enthusiasm for understanding how successful companies grow and decided to pursue roles that would result in him supporting entrepreneurs.
Israel immersed himself in the Tech ecosystem, engaged in advisory work for startups and was fortunate enough to secure a place as a Venture Capital Fellow on the Included VC programme, which is backed by some of Europe’s leading VC firms. Through this programme, Israel was introduced to the Sherpa Programme and applied in the hope that he, too, would have the privilege of writing a Tenzing bio in the third person.
Israel spent his first year in the Sherpa Programme at VIPR, working on their expansion into the US insurance market. He has now moved to activpayroll to work on strategic projects after their Sherpa, Anna Jackson, was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer. He is excited at the prospect of his parents finally understanding what he does for work.
