Malte is the former CEO of Utimaco, the global cybersecurity and compliance solutions and services provider.
He became CEO of Utimaco in 2011 and spearheaded the buyout of Utimaco from Sophos in 2013. Malte led the growth of the business from 70 people to 500 people, the international expansion and took the company through private equity investment – in 2013, Pinova and BIP invested, with the addition of EQT in 2016. In 2022, EQT exited to SGT and Malte moved to a role on the Board of Directors.
Malte’s strengths include internationalisation, portfolio and roadmap development and buy and build assessments. He gained valuable experience and had massive success at Utimaco, where he drove impressive innovation, growth and the M&A strategy, including seven add-ons in the US, UK, Spain, and Germany.
