Miles previously joined MetaCompliance as a Sherpa, where he assisted the leadership team with the integration of a recent acquisition, attaining the B-Corp certification and Board support, amongst other high-value projects. Miles graduated from the Sherpa Programme in December 2024, before joining MetaCompliance permanently in January 2025 as VP Group Customer Operations and International Expansion.
Before joining the Sherpa Programme, Miles ran his own wine import and distribution business, which he acquired in an MBO in 2016, and an online wine training business, which he founded in 2017. He disposed of both separately in 2020 and integrated the wine business with the new owners, safely leading the consolidated department into new management.
Miles learnt about the Sherpa Programme after wanting to break out of his old industry and broaden his horizons as a professional business leader. The Sherpa role was a more perfect fit than he could have imagined, and he’s really excited to join a fast-paced and ambitious team and apply everything he’s learned about B2B growth strategies, acquisition and integration within our portfolio.
