I’m deeply interested in the mental aspect of sport given I know from personal experience what a difference your state of mind can make to athletic performance. One of my race mantras is “it’s hard to beat a person who never gives in…”.
It’s fascinating to read the accounts in this book which contain various examples where athletes have overcome the odds by having the right mindset. It’s a book that I feel less sporty people could appreciate too as it’s applicable to all aspects in life. The book highlights how amazing the human body is and how your head and your heart are just as important.
