This episode of The Joe Rogan Experience is a good dose of reality to the importance of sleep and why we should use it as a foundation to everyday activities. I’ve read Matthew’s book (Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams) too, but the book is heavy going. The podcast is a great balance of being informative and also relevant and really cuts through into delivering sensible advice as to how we should view and use the power of sleep.
Rather than go over the key points, I’d recommend as an easy listen that you can dip in and out and go back to at times when you need to re-enforce discipline around protecting your sleep, or your children’s for that matter. Joe Rogan can be a bit of a marmite character but here he helps tease out plenty of extra insight from Matthew Walker.
