Originally from Slovakia, Milan moved to the UK to study economics, although he spent more time working his bar and kitchen jobs to pay for the lectures he wasn’t attending. Perhaps that was the best economics lesson he could get!
Whilst at university, he started and ran a small business which paid for his master’s degree and made him fall in love with building successful and scalable companies.
He trained with EY, where he worked across a number of service lines primarily focusing on UK private equity transactions, spending lots of time with founder-owned businesses and learning about their frustrations with the lack of practical support from their PE backers.
He was excited about the whole idea of Founder Focused Growth Equity – supporting founders and management teams with an ecosystem of like-minded entrepreneurs.
Milan joined Tenzing as employee number one and five years on regards it was one of the best decisions he has ever made.
