Rory Shedden, who joined the Sherpa Programme as part of Cohort 1 in September 2020, has been promoted to CEO at MPLC.
Tenzing company MPLC has announced that Rory Shedden will be its new CEO starting 16th December 2021. The appointment follows an internal and external search process.
Rory joined MPLC in September 2020 as part of the first cohort of Sherpas recruited by Tenzing’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Glenn Elliott. He joined alongside Min-Hwee Lim, Clive O’Sullivan and Rob Tregaskes, who are all still with the Programme.
In May 2021, following the sad death of MPLC CEO Mike Weatherley, Louise Rogers stepped up from Chair to an Executive Chair role as an interim leadership measure and promoted Rory to be her Chief of Staff.
As MPLC now moves to a permanent leadership structure, Rory is joined by Glenn Elliott, who will become Chair, and Louise will move to a non-exec advisory role.
“I’m incredibly excited to be taking on this opportunity. We have a great business with huge potential, and my focus is to lead our team as we grow MPLC into the most successful company it can be. I’m also proud to have been part of the Sherpa programme with Glenn and Tenzing. It’s a unique model in private equity, and I hope my progression is inspiring and exciting for the Sherpas of the future.”
