Today, European tech investor Tenzing announced that DJH Mitten Clarke, a prominent Top 50 UK accounting firm within its portfolio, has successfully completed three strategic acquisitions in September 2023, strengthening its presence in the North-West and Yorkshire.
The newly formed partnerships with Huddersfield firm Revell Ward, Nantwich practice Lyon Griffiths, and Haines Watt’s Altrincham office, represent a significant milestone in DJH Mitten Clarke’s journey towards enhanced client service within the SME market.
Scott Heath, CEO of DJH Mitten Clarke, expressed his enthusiasm, “This trio of acquisitions reinforces our commitment to building our business through partnerships with culturally aligned firms and investment into their team through training, development and wellbeing. Our people-first and tech-focused approach will allow us to enhance and tailor our solutions to empower businesses and build relationships in the SME marketplace.
“As we continually look for new ways to heighten our services and support to both existing and new clients across the Group, each new partner brings its own strengths. Revell Ward delivers a market-leading customer journey and experience, Lyon Griffiths provides us with a new probate service line, whilst Haines Watts Altrincham has unrivalled knowledge and experience within the education sector.”
Mike Reynolds, Investment Lead at Tenzing, added: “These strategic acquisitions demonstrate DJH Mitten Clarke’s commitment to expanding its reach and capabilities in the SME marketplace. We’re excited to see the synergies that will emerge from these partnerships and how they will contribute to the company’s growth and success.”
Welcoming Revell Ward, Lyon Griffiths, and Haines Watts Altrincham to the Group builds on the momentum from DJH Mitten Clarke’s partnership with Tenzing, announced in November 2022. Additionally, the recent hiring of an in-house M&A Director, Richard Crook, positions the firm well to pursue its ambitious inorganic growth targets and develop its service lines.
In the coming months, the three acquired firms will unite under the DJH Mitten Clarke banner, following rebrands. They will operate as new offices within the Group, further strengthening the firm’s regional presence.
The news follows hot on the heels of DJH Mitten Clarke’s acquisition of specialist dental accountants, Minford Dental, which firmly solidified their position as market leaders within the sector, as a trusted partner for dental practices across the country.
Tenzing, demonstrating its commitment to supporting its portfolio companies, provided an Acquisitions Director to assist DJH Mitten Clarke with this acquisition. The firm has actively supported its portfolio companies in completing 16 acquisitions within the last 12 months.
