Today, European tech investor, Tenzing, is delighted to announce that it has exited VIPR, a global leading provider of mission-critical data management solutions in Delegated Authority insurance, generating a return of 4.6x invested capital and a 30% IRR.
VIPR is the fourth exit from Tenzing’s first fund (£200m, 2017), following the successful exit of MPLC from the same fund in December 2025.
Tenzing backed VIPR in 2020, attracted by the opportunity to partner with a management team who had deep domain expertise and a market-leading product that was uniquely positioned to capitalise on the attractive fast-growing, global Delegated Authority market. With Tenzing’s support, the business has since built out its product offering, including accelerating the integration of AI into its enterprise grade platform. During this time, VIPR has materially expanded its geographical reach in Europe and North America and today serves global blue-chip customers across the insurance value chain.
Throughout Tenzing’s partnership, the business and management team have consistently outperformed expectations, sustaining exceptional KPIs and delivering annual revenue growth of >20% on average.
Rob Jones, Co-founder and Investment Lead at Tenzing, said: “VIPR is a fantastic example of what can be achieved by partnering with an exceptional management team in an attractive market. VIPR’s market-leading product has provided the foundation for material value creation through investing in new products, technology and international expansion. It has been a genuine pleasure working alongside Paul and the wider team.”
Paul Templar, CEO of VIPR, commented: “Our partnership with Tenzing has played a pivotal role in transforming VIPR into a global leader in insurance data management. Over the past few years, we have expanded our technology platform, accelerated our international growth across Europe and North America, and harnessed AI to help the insurance market unlock greater value from its data. Today we work with customers around the world, and that global reach positions us strongly for the exciting opportunities ahead.
I am incredibly grateful to the Tenzing team for their unwavering support, insight and partnership throughout this journey. I would also like to recognise Continuum and the wider group of advisers whose expertise, responsiveness and collaborative approach ensured the transaction was executed smoothly and efficiently. They made a complex process feel refreshingly simple.”
Continuum Advisory Partners acted as the exclusive lead corporate finance advisor to both Tenzing and VIPR on the transaction. Other advisers included Simmons & Simmons (Legal), KPMG (Financial), Strategy& (Commercial), Ringstone (Technology) and Riplo (AI).
