Tenzing’s Ticketer makes debut onto Profit Track for contribution during pandemic

Today, Tenzing is proud to announce that its portfolio company Ticketer, the leading smart bus ticketing and technology provider, has debuted in a special COVID-19 edition of The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100.

The awards recognise the impressive past performance of the featured companies and their contribution to the economy and society during the pandemic. Ticketer, which counts many of the largest national bus operators amongst its clients, ranked 53rd in this year’s league table after recording 52.36% annual profit growth.

The last 12 months have seen Ticketer launch new features and developments to support operators through lockdowns and restrictions. From passenger occupancy levels on buses – which was developed to support both driver and passenger safety, to developing an innovative Road Restriction Alert feature for drivers when travelling through new or unfamiliar routes, Ticketer has striven to ease some of the pain points operators have been facing during the pandemic.

The Government also called upon the market-leading firm to anonymise, aggregate and supply national statistics to enable Department for Transport analysis of public transport usage and future predictions for patronage, which was shared in the No.10 briefings.

Andy Monshaw, Ticketer Group CEO, said: “This is fantastic news, not only for us at Ticketer, but for the industry as a whole. We have always been at the side of our operators, and this past year we are extremely proud of the technological developments and the complete team effort we have shown in supporting our friends and colleagues in the industry through these unprecedented times.”

Andy continued: “By keeping the focus on the Ticketer philosophy of doing the right thing and listening to our customers, we have launched a wealth of new features which not only supported operators during COVID but will also take them forward as we ease out of the current restrictions.”

Christian Hamilton, Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Tenzing, added: “We’re super proud of everyone at Ticketer for being recognised on the Profit Track and making such a positive impact on the UK economy. The whole team is absolutely focused on delighting its loyal customers, evident by this latest set of innovations and double-digit growth.”

Tenzing backed Ticketer in 2018 and is supporting the team’s ambition to grow the business in the UK and internationally. In 2020, Ticketer received the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its unique, ongoing product innovation.
