Climate Ed

Champions climate education and advocacy

Based on its mission, Climate Ed focuses on raising awareness about climate change and its impacts, as well as empowering individuals and communities to take action towards a sustainable future.

The organisation implements various projects aimed at educating people about climate science, renewable energy, sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. Through workshops, seminars, educational materials, and online resources, Climate Ed equips individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to understand climate change and its implications for the planet.

Climate Ed’s projects support grassroots initiatives and community-led efforts to mitigate climate change and promote resilience. By collaborating with schools, universities, businesses, and other organisations, Climate Ed fosters partnerships that drive positive environmental change at the local, national and global levels.

“Tenzing’s support has been transformative for us as a rapidly growing small charity. It has enabled us to maintain our operations in London, where we have grown from reaching 3,000 students annually in 2022-23, to 5,600 in 2024-25, an 87% increase.

It has also enabled us to expand our work to other parts of the UK, launching our hubs in the West Midlands and in the Northwest.

Finally, it has allowed us to invest in the core development of the charity, enabling us to build a firmer foundation from which we can expand to further UK regions. ”

Ben Cuddon, Co-Founder and Programme Manager

“"As an investor, one of things I love about Climate Ed is how high the ROI is. From a very small investment it can fund many volunteers who then influence thousands of children, at the early stage of their lives as consumers, and who have the ability to change the consumption attitudes of their friends and family over decades.

Climate Ed’s model is simple, extremely efficient and impactful. It works by finding people who are knowledgeable and passionate about climate change. Then it supports them to provide a unique programme of learning for children, teaching them about the climate problem and showing them how they can take action on it.

Through its use of volunteers, the charity achieves maximum impact at minimal cost. It provides a memorable and rewarding experience for its volunteers, supports schools with an exciting addition to their climate education provision, and most importantly gives students an essential introduction to an issue which will affect their lives more than any other. Its message of practical solutions grounded in positivity and hope is a great way of empowering the next generation to address the climate challenge."
