Today, we are pleased to announce that our portfolio company, DJH, has acquired three Haines Watts offices in Chester, Liverpool and Wirral. DJH supports owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, who rely on them to achieve their ambitions through expert accountancy advice, challenging conversations and innovative technology.

With over 750 professionals across sixteen offices in the North West, Midlands, Yorkshire, the South East, and now Dublin, DJH is a UK top 30 accountancy and professional services group with a strong regional footprint and growing international presence. The acquisition strengthens DJH’s presence across Merseyside and Cheshire, ensuring businesses in the region benefit from enhanced service lines spanning estate planning, capital allowances and the R&D tax credits, corporate finance, commercial funding solutions, HR consultancy and IT support.

The addition of Chester, Liverpool and Wirral strengthens DJH’s North West presence considerably. With local leadership remaining unchanged, the team’s market knowledge and client relationships ensure continuity and a strong cultural fit with DJH’s values.”

Scott Heath, Chief Executive Officer of DJH, commented:
“This acquisition aligns perfectly with our strategy of expanding our presence in key regional markets through partnerships with high-quality, client-focused practices. The Chester city, Liverpool and Wirral teams bring excellent local market knowledge and strong client relationships that complement our existing North West operations beautifully.

It is also an exciting region to do business, with lots of inward investment, regeneration projects and fast-growing companies requiring the right tailored advice to expand even further.”

Matt Nicholson, Investment Lead at Tenzing, added:
“The North West represents a fantastic regional market – we’re excited to scale our presence there with such a high quality team. We look forward to seeing the impact of a bigger DJH brand in the region. A massive welcome to everyone – both colleagues and clients alike.”

This is the eighth transaction DJH has completed with the support of private equity partner Tenzing since 2022.
